• Aftermarket exhaust supplier Bainbridge has entered a joint venture with OE manufacturer Wasey in an effort to gain a larger slice of the UK's 120m commercial vehicle replacement exhaust market.
Between them the two companies hold 7.5% of a market dominated by OE manufacturers.
Bainbridge will market Wasey's truck aftermarket exhaust under its Truckmaster name and will offer next-day deliveries to most towns in the UK.
Wasey has bought the truck exhaust production from Cheswick which covers OE supplies to AWD, Iveco Ford, Seddon Atkinson and Leyland Daf. The Type-Approved exhausts will only be supplied through the truck manufacturer.
