• Haulier Mike Pickering is to go it alone in his campaign to unite small operators to negotiate for better rates. This follows a rift with Owner Operators UK, which had promised to back his bid to recruit hauliers around the country by offering them free associate membership of 00UK.
Pickering is upset over an Owner Operators press release which says it is "spearheading" the campaign, calling it a "party political broadcast".
