Dreading another bout of Radio 4 News FM Gulf blather with retired Field Marshall Sir Crusty Balaclava helmet I was jerked out of my somnambulant state by the suggestion that hundreds of British Army vehicles may well be left behind in the desert as it would be too expensive to ship them back to Blighty.
