• Aquaban 700 is a water separator and sediment trap that is claimed to remove 99.7% of free water from a diesel fuel line.
The units are retrofitted into the fuel line close to the filters; 24V/180W and 12V/120W heated versions are available to double as a fuel heater during cold weather.
Water separated from the fuel is drained from the unit periodically; there are no filters to change.
Aquaban is marketed by CT Harwood and the heated version costs 92 (ex-VAT). Until the end of March orders for three or more qualify for a 25% discount.
A similar discount is available on Starter Pilot, which is used to start a diesel engine in cold weather. The device sprays a blend of hydrocarbons with a range of boiling points directly into the air inlet. This is said to enable the engine to start even in extremely cold conditions.
