Ferries by the P&O Group has resulted in a number of changes in management at European Ferries.
Geoffrey Parker, European Ferries chairman, has resigned, and will be replaced by Sir Jeffrey Sterling.
Peter Ford, P&O Group Board director responsible for ferry and port operations, has been appointed chairman of Townsend Thoresen.
North Sea Ferries' general manager Graeme Dunlop will be appointed managing director of Townsend Thoresen.
Ford also becomes the chairman of European Ferries (Harbours). He will be joined by Robert Guille, appointed managing director from his present role as general manager, terminals and depots of P&O Containers.
