Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

and! deduce that this is a name now used for the former Carrimore company and its associates, but how many more companies of familiar name does it include?

A The SBS stands for the Steel Barrel

Sca m mel Is and Associated Engineers Ltd.: but for obvious reasons of brevity and convenience SBS is now being commonly used in most references. The three main companies involved moved to a single new factory on the Harelaw Trading Estate, Stanley, Co. Durham in 1966: these three are Anthony Hoists Ltd., from Ruislip; Carrimore Six Wheelers Ltd., from Finchley; and Autolifts and Engineering Ltd., from Blackburn. Since then, Blackburn has remained as a manufacturing and fitting unit ; a new fitting and service depot in Tottenham has replaced Ruislip; and a new, smaller factory has been set up at Carluke, Lanarkshire, which devotes much of its time to equipping BMC chassis from nearby Bathgate, Midland Tipper Services Ltd. at Chesterfield remains as it was.

Incidentally, the move to the North East was an expensive one for SBS, despite Board of Trade and Ministry of Labour grants for entering a development area. About E1,200 to £1,500 was spent on training each adult recruit, but only about £130 per head was reclaimable. But the 160,000 sq.ft. factory is now in full production, notably in building the SBS Lightweight tipper bodies and the latest range of Carrimore transporters.
