Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AWET-SOAP solution which dries in five to six hours is being used by Universal Cleaners, Walsall, for cleaning moquette seats. A 33-seat coach can be cleaned by two operators in less than five hours; normally two single-deckers can be dealt with in a day at a contract price of £4 10s. per vehicle.

After light beating, dust is removed by a powerful suction cleaner with a h.p. motor. Wet cleaning by hand follows.

The solution is then applied to the material by an electrically driven Nylon brush, being fed to the centre of the brush from a container. The soap is quickly agitated to a froth which is immediately removedby a soft squeegee, with the dirt suspended in the solution. After the removal of stains the moquette is treated with an anti-moth and anti-rot disinfectant.

A representative of "The Commercial Motor" who examined seats which had been cleaned by this method found them as good as new. The solution is approved by the Dry Cleaners' Federation and stains are treated according to accepted dry-cleaning methods.

The work of the operator is -supervized by a frilly trained hand.
