The Lancashire United Tramways, Ltd., of Atherton, Manchester and Liverpool, have special hotel arrangements at Llangollen for motor coach passengers, and although the 1921 season was far from good, according to Mt. E. H. Edwards, the general manager of the company, 3,487 meals were supplied at the Ponsonby Arms Hotel during the month of June, 1921. At the present time they have accommodation at this rendezvous for 800 diners, and it is interesting to note that throughout the whole of last season the company, who run their trips from Liverpool, Manchester, Warrington, Bolton, Leigh and Atherton, served 15,000 meals.
