Road & Sea Express has revealed an 8% improvement in fuel economy, around 2mpg, since its recent purchase of four new Volvo FL 18-tonners. The Warrington haulier made a decision last year to switch its entire fleet to Volvo within five years, following trials with local dealer Thomas Hardie Commercials. MD Stephen Jones adds that the FLs are using significantly less AdBlue and are fitted with aerodynamic bodywork to further improve fuel economy.
