R MCDOWELL HAULAGE and Distribution has had undertakings attached to its O-licence for six vehicles and two trailers based at its unit at the Point 4 Distribution Centre in Second Way, Bristol. The condition on the licence are: ● Annual training of all drivers and induction training of new drivers; ● Daily random audit of driver defect checks; ● Rigid adherence to eight week inspection intervals; ● Refresher training of all fitters by an outside consultant; ● Quarterly random audit of vehicle maintenance systems; ● Multi-checks of all vehicles; ● Outside maintenance of trailers that cannot be accommodated within the operator’s own garage facility; ● Bonus scheme for drivers, if the remain
