III Complaints by a number of manufacturers about lyeco Ford's latest advertising campaign for the 7.5tonne Cargo, have prompted an investigation by the Advertising Standards Authority.
The ASA is concerned that the advert makes incorrect claims about fuel consumption. It is also unhappy about a chart purporting to show lifetime costs for the Cargo, compared against Leyland Daf's Roadnin ner, Mercedes' 0814, AWD's 814 and Renault's 140. Iveco Ford says: "We have not received any instruction to withdraw the ad, but the campaign has now finished."
