Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

chairman of the RHA to call for stricter entrance standards to the industry.

The RHA mailshots all 0licence applicants, asking us to apply for membership! I am a new 0-licence holder. I am in direct competition with Roy Bowles Transport in airfreight haulage.

This industry is heavily regulated. I am in favour (as should all responsible operators) of stricter enforcement.

The haulier's enemy is himself. Rates in airfreight are no better now than 5/6 years ago. Who is to blame? Why am I in this industry? The return on investment is not good. The risks high, People work in this industry because they love lorries (admit it). Pizza shops have very little glamour, but I bet a greater return.

I am a new haulier, legal and here to stay. I will survive if I am a good manager. I wouldn't have it any other way. Even when I have been established as long as Roy Bowles.

David Holmes, Holmes of Heathrow, Twickenham, Middlesex.
