Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Exel Logistics expects to complete its £5.8m acquisition of Sadema, Spain's third largest food and drink distributor, within the next three months. The move comes just a few weeks after Exel won a twoyear logistics management contract with Gaieties Preciados,

Spain's second largest department store chain (CM 24-30 May).

Sadema has 15 locations in mainland Spain, the Balearic and Canary Islands and 150 warehouse staff. It has a turnover of about 26.3m and currently provides chilled and ambient warehousing and distribution services for leading food manufacturer Nabisco, chocolate and confectionery producer Nutrexpa and drinks firm Codorniu. Exel has signed new agreements with all three customers. For NEC interim results see page 4.
