• Lex Wilkinson's longpromised international parcels service started this week, the first major product of the company's takeover by Federal Express earlier this year.
Lex Wilkinson International offers a daily next-day service to Europe, using an air link from Birmingham to Brussels, where Federal Express has its European hub. A second day delivery is available to the United States, with a next-day document service to New York.
The establishment of an international service has been one of Federal's priorities for Lex Wilkinson since it acquired the business in January, partly because it acknowledges that the lack of an international service has cost it home parcels business.
