Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The Department of Iran port is considering raising th current MoT test fee for ligl commercial vehicles and can with an unladen kerbweight up to 1,525kg, from £10.70 £11.90.

The 11% increase is bein sought by the Motor Agents Association, and its Scottish equivalent, the Scottish Mot Agents Association, followin joint submission to the DIP both groups in April.

As CM went to press, no announcement had been mat by the DTp, although accord Mg to the MAA a decision ": expected any day".

The MAA says the rise, well above inflation, is 'leech to cover higher operating costs incurred by MoT stations, including labour rates and insurance.

The last increase in the test fee was of 70p in July 1985.
