Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE DIRECTOR of Glenn Freight (North West) says he is in talks to sell the Liverpool-based haulier after administrators were appointed on 22 June.

Alan Joyce describes the last three years as the hardest of my career", but he remains positive a buyer can be found for the company, which has a licence to operate 24 vehicles.

He adds that in the meantime the company continues to trade and no redundancies have been made since recovery business MCR was appointed.

"We are trying to get as much in as we can invoice-wise to pay our creditors. We have drawn up a list and I am pleased to say a lot of people are being understanding and want to work with us if we go somewhere else," he says.

Joyce declines to go into details about a possible suitor, but adds: "People are looking into it, another company is looking to diversify with us." A purchase could be made within a fortnight.

Up until 10 years ago Glenn Freight (North West) was owned by air, road and sea freight forwarder Glenn Freight Services in Crawley, but both now trade independently and have no links.
