• Almost 200 Mercedes-Benz T2 vans have been recalled following sliding door mounts failure. Mercedes has decided to send all the offending vehicles back to the Dusseldorf factory to be reboclied completely. Owners have been supplied with replacement vans free of charge in the meantime.
The vehicles involved in the recall include the first 189 T2 609/811D vans sold in Britain. These were supplied between August and November 1986.
