EXPERIENCE in command and senior responsibilities in the forces will be used to benefit the Bus and Coach Council independent sector which has appointed Philip Carlisle as its new director. Mr Carlisle is a member of the institute of Management and a graduate of the Royal Air Force staff college. He is a specialist in communications.
He will present the "Independent" view to other sectors within the organisation and to the Government.
WHYTE'S Coaches of Newmarket has added a Volvo 1310M fitted with Van Hool Alizee DH coachwork to its fleet. The coach is fitted with the optional dropped controls.
SOUL BROS of Olney has recently added a Bedford YNT Duple Laser coach to its fleet. The YNT has a 'cherished' numberplate to allow it to be operated as a front line coach for more than one season without being deemed as old.
The Bedford YNT 11 metre chassis has been the front runner in Bedford's continuing thrust to regain its dominant market share with independent coach operators. Recent registration figures show that Bedford is regaining ground it recently lost to heavyweight coach suppliers and importers.
