UNITED Transport International, the overseas transport arm of the London-based BET group, is reducing its shareholding in its South African bus and coach operations from 75 to 60 per cent. The reduction follows the South African government appointed commission recommendations.
UTI operations in South Africa are run by the autonomous United Passenger Transport Investments which will now be 40 per cent owned by South African life assurance company Sanlam.
