THE SECRETARY of State for Transport has announced an increase in plating and testing fees which will be payable on all applications made on or after July 11978. The new fees are: a) First examination or periodical test of a motor vehicle and trailer — £12.50 and £7.00 respectively; b) Retest of a motor vehicle and trailer — £7.00 and £4.50 respectively; c) Re-examination of a vehicle — £6.00; d) Replacement of a lost defaced test certificate or ministry test date disc — £1.00,
