making a bile unit for testing air:rated brake systems and iting circuits fitted to :oupled trailers. This unit, ich costs E380, comprises a rol-engine driven compressor ich feeds air — up to 150 psi via a 2 cu ft reservoir into se tractive unit-pattern air
sockets. The connections, iunted on a control panel, are elled "service'', "auxiliary", 1 "emergency". Susie hose inactions are used to link unit trailer. Air can be supplied — gradually if desired — to any one line to check for air leaks: a gauge is used to register line pressure, An additional outlet enables the unit to inflate tyres or to drive air-power tools and lubricating systems. Two 12V batteries are used to supply via a pair of tumbler switches — either a 12V or 24V supply and the unit is connected to the trailer by a Susie and seven-pin outlet.
Tractive unit lighting controls are simulated on the control panel and a light below each control shows if the circuit is functioning.
