Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Ford last week announced a new leasing plan to be operated by more than a hundred Ford leasing dealers throughout the country.

Under the scheme a client now has the choice of any of the vehicles in the wide Ford range, from an Escort saloon to a 'D' series truck. The leasing vehicles are available for any length of time, in any quantity, and can be supplied in the client's own livery.

An operator may simply specify the vehicles he requires, then pay the monthly charge and the cost of the fuel and oil he uses. In this case, all the administration and maintenance costs — including insurance, road tax, capital outlay and depreciation — as well as vehicle renewal is undertaken by the dealer.

When a vehicle requires servicing, or needs an emergency repair, it may be taken to any Ford dealer in Britain. A number of alternative schemes are available to the customer, but under the full plan, if a repair takes more than 36 hours, the leasing dealer will arrange for a temporary, replacement.
