THREE HAULIERS reduced a farmer's operating radius from 50 to 20 miles in Leeds on Friday. Mr. P. M. France of Sheriff Hutton, was applying for a new B licence for a 4-ton bulk tipper to carry his own combines and fertilizer for his spreading service.
For the objectors, Mr. R. E. Paterson submitted that: "Grain for applicant's own combines to drier or store within 20 miles and fertilizer from Howden and Bridlington in connection with applicant's own spreading service," would be acceptable. Mr. M. Gosnay, the Yorkshire deputy Licensing Authority, granted the licence with the amended conditions.
