MEGOTIATIONS are in progress in 1 "London, writes. a correspondent, for building a fleet of buses for Ceylon, each with the roof fashioned entirely from tinted glass to admit health-giving rays from the sun, but to keep out glare.
Mr. P. A. Ediriweera, managing director of Ceylon Tours, Ltd., who is now in England on a business tour, and for whose company the buses are intended, said that they would be especially designed to enable tourists to see a country in comfort. The design includes an arrangement for the hood to slide right over the top of the bus when the sun becomes too strong, operated by the driver at the touch of a button.
