MR. H. 0. FIELD has been appointed general manager of Henry Meadows, Ltd., and has joined the board of the company, MR. C. E. HOLLINGHURST, London divisional road engineer, is studying toads in the USA. under the mgis of the Marshall Aid Mission.
MR. E. T. HUDSON, formerly with Burton Transport Department, has joined Luton Transport Department as rolling stock superintendent.
ALD. ARTIPUR LANGTON has been re-elected chairman of the Bournemouth Transport Committee. AID. J. B. C. BEALE, J.P., continues as vice-chairman.
— — MAJOR LEIGH P. STEDALL has retired from the position of director and chairman of Stedall and Co., Ltd. MR. H. S. 0. P. STEDALL succeeds him as chairman.
Comm. J. H. F. ICEKr, R.N (REr.), has been re-elected president of the Retread Manufacturers' Association. He is chairman of Auto Tyre Services. Ltd.. Basingstoke. MR. R. H. PIKE is vice-president.
MR. HENRY SPURRIER has relinquished his appointment as general manager of Leyland Motors, Ltd. This position will be occupied jointly by. MR. WALTER WEST and MR. STANLEY MAITLAND. directors of the company. MR. NORMAN TATTERSALL, formerly chief designer, has been appointed acting chief engineer. Policy for design and development will be in the hands of a designs committee consisting of Mr. Spurrier as chairman, and the joint general managers. Other officials will be co-opted to this committee. MR, R. M, GoutHE has been made president of the Scottish Motor Trade Association. MR. R. R. STALKER is vice-president.
MR. T. F. PARKER, of the overseas department of the Dunlop Rubber Co., Ltd., has been appointed office manager in Buenos Aires.

been elected an honorary member of the Road Haulage Association in recognition of his outstanding services.

MR. R. J. PINDER, who has been assistant general sales manager since 1945, has been appointed deputy-general sales manager of the Anglo-American Oil Co., Ltd. MR. G. W. POWELL is now assistant general sales manager. with headquarters in London. He was previously divisional manager of the south-western division at Bristol, and has been replaced there by MR. B. A. TUNKS, formerly northern divisional sales manager. Mr. W. H. CRITCHLOW, midland divisional manager, has taken up a similar appointment in London, in succession ID MR. W. HARRINGTON, who will retire soon. MR. J. R. PAYNE, Scottish divisional manager, has become midland divisional manager, and MR. E. F. CHOPPEN, Costs manager, northern division, has been appointed northern divisional sales manager. The new Scottish divisional sales manager is MR. J. A. BOYNE, who was formerly manager, dealer sales, Scottish division. Mr. Choppen is succeeded as costs manager in the northern division by MR. R. D. STREETON, who was previously manager, chemicals and solvents department, head office. The new manager, dealer sales, Scottish division. is MR. G. F. HurroN. formerly district manager in the division. Mr. R. Morrison, sal,es assistant, Scottish division, is now district manager, Scottish division.
