• Supermarket chain Safeway has created 50 new jobs for drivers at two of its distribution centres in the Midlands.
And, in a similar move to Tesco, the retailer has pledged to provide training for warehouse staff who want to become drivers.
BRS Taskforce has won the deal to provide the drivers, who will all work to contracts based on an annualised hours scheme.
