• Brugge-based Aluvon will be at next week's Brussels show with the latest Eurocool insulated version of its Eurodoor truck body system, as well as its PivoPlan kit body system for drinks distribution fleets. Pivo-Plan is a sliding-door, sliding-curtain design with a range of options designed to enhance side access to the load.
• LDV Convoy vans and minibuses for the 1999 model year are now being fitted with an improved heating and ventilation system and a factory-fitted, Thatcham -approvedimmobiliser at no extra cost. ABS becomes standard on minibuses and will be available as an option on some 3.5-tonne vans.
• Woking, Surrey-based James Walker & Co has developed a tank-lid sealing material called Tankatite 880 that resists all IMO-listed chemicals, is compatible with foodstuffs and petroleum products and can be used with cargoes heated to 120°C. Contact Patrick Halligan on 01483 757575.
