Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

75/85 Series middleweight truck range with three and four-axle tippers and a new rigid, designated the 65 Series, to replace the old Daf 1900.

They will be launched at this month's Brussels Show, but are unlikely to reach the UK until the autumn.

For multi-wheeler buyers the 6x4 FAT 75 is powered by the reworked 8.65-litre Daf engine, rated at 180, 200 and 302kW (245, 272 and 302hp). The 8x4 FAD 85 is driven by the familiar 11.6-litre six-cylinder WS block rated at up to 272kW (365hp), although UK eight-leggers will be restricted to 225kW (302hp) and 245kW (329hp).

The six and eight-wheelers come with the stylish new Daf 75/85 Series cab.

Alongside the double-drive tipper chassis will be 6x2 tagaxle models and an FAG 75 chinese six, suitable for refuse collectors.

While Continental models get a heavy-duty HR 1355T hubreduction rear bogie, the UK multi-wheelers will be supplied with a lighter SR 1132T singlereduction tandem rated at 19 tonnes. Daf claims a chassis weight of only seven tonnes for the FAT 75, leaving a body/payload allowance of up to 19 tonnes at 26 tonnes.

Having extended its new middleweight line-up to multiwheelers, Daf has also taken the range downwards with the FA 65 180 and 210 chassis. These two-axle premium rigids can be plated at either 18 or 19 tonnes GVW. They have the revised 6.2-litre NS Euro-1 engine and 75/85 Series cab in day or sleeper form.

Although these models replace the old Daf 1900 rigid, the existing Freighter (60 Series) will still form part of Daf's UK 17-tonner line-up.

As part of the 65 programme Daf has introduced a light 11.5tonne drive axle which offers a weight saving of 60kg over the 13-tonne SR 1339 axle.

The 65 is said to have a high payload; with a 7.5-tonne front axle shod in 315/80R22.5 tyres and the 11.5-tonne rear axle a gross capacity of 13.5 tonnes is quoted running at 19 tonnes.
