at Stolpe on the motorway through the German Democratic Republic to West Berlin, the motorway access road at Stolpe and the stretch of ring road motorway round Berlin between the Stolpe and Rostock exits are now open to transit traffic running between the Federal Republic of Germany and West Berlin_ . Since 31 December 1987, however, the border post at Staaken, road number five between Stnaken and the Berlin ring road motorway, and the section of ring road between the Nauen entry and the Rostock exit have been closed to transit traffic.
