MORE FOR MOREY • Following the merger between Leyland and Daf, Morey Leyland Daf of Salisbury Road, Ringwood (0425) 478881 has been appointed the main Leyland Daf distributor for Hampshire, Dorset and South Wiltshire.
The move has led to reorganisation at distributor level: Morey Leyland Daf has taken over Lex Tillotson's Hampshire operation, based at Southampton, and sold its own West Country business at Avonmouth and Gloucester in a 83 million deal.
Morey Leyland/Daf is a trading division of Adams-Morey, which plans to expand the Hampshire business and to move the Southampton operation to a larger site on the outskirts of the city.
SCANIA AT NORWICH • M&K Commercials of Norwich has joined the Scania network as a parts and service dealer. Based on Jarrold Way on the Bowthorpe Industrial Estate (0603-748995), the company will operate under Scania's East Anglian distributor, Robinson Trucks of Stowmarket.
M&K, which is run by Mick Nash and Kenny Allison, has been involved in commercial vehicles for many years and already undertakes contract maintenance on mixed fleets, as well as mobile servicing including a 24-hour emergency service. Normal opening hours are 08:00-17:30 firs Monday to Friday, and 07:30-12:30 hrs Saturday. From 1 January there will be a Scania parts delivery service and the full range of Scania Lifeline aftersales benefits will be offered. M&K is also an agent for Ratcliff Tailifts and Interlube chassis lubrication systems.
