• Today (January 7) a special sub-committee will give initial consideration to the 36 applications recieved for the post of transport manager, Teesside Passenger Transport. The present manager, Mr William C. Wilson retires in May. The transport department has a staff of over 1000 and its buses cover more than 3m miles a year. The post carries a salary of g5226-£5742.
