• A further substantial increase in the number of international journeys by road haulage vehicles during 1971 is reported by the Road Haulage Association. The number of TIR carnets issued by the RHA for these journeys during the year was 33,800. This compares with 23,500 in 1970 and 17,000 in 1969.
