Ltd. and subsidiary company Eastaugh Bros. Ltd., has been appointed to the board of Arrow Bulk. Prior to joining the company in 1956 Mr. Tomlinson was with SPD Ltd. for nine years. Mr. Thomas Moxon, secretary of Arrow Bulk and Eastaugh Bros., has been appointed to the board of associate company Ash Grove Motor Engineers Ltd., Hull. Mr. Maxon continues as secretary of all three companies and the Hull manager of the parent organization, International Bulk Liquids (Storage and Transport) Ltd., London.
Mr. M. A. Watson has been appointed by BMC as marketing executive, commercial vehicles, in the homes sales division at Longbridge. For the past 18 months Mr. Watson has been BMC fleet sales executive. He started his career with Morris Commercial Cars Ltd. as an engineering apprentice and in 1959 became the company's assistant sales manager.
Mr. J. D. Gregson has joined the board of Atkinson Vehicles Ltd. He is managing director of Atherton Bros Ltd., the subsidiary company recently purchased by Atkinson Lorries (Holdings) Ltd.
Mr. K. C. McCarthy has been appointed assistant managing director of Castrol Ltd. He succeeds Mr. L. G. Packham, who relinquishes this post but remains a member of the board. Mr. McCarthy is 50 and joined Castrol in 1930. In 1961 he became a director and a few months later was appointed general manager of the Castrol UK retail division. In 1963 he became assistant managing director of Castrol Overseas Ltd.
Mr. John Fisher has been appointed managing director of KL Automotive Products Ltd., with special responsibility for contract sales of heating and ventilating equipment, sunvisors and other accessories.
On Monday, at the Mansion House, York, Aid. William Bridge, Lord Mayor of York, head of Flowers Transport Ltd, and chairman of the West Riding area of the RHA, gave a lunch to the chairman of leading hauliers of all three districts of the RHA in Yorkshire. The occasion was to present Maj. F. S. Eastwood, the recently retired Yorkshire LA, with gifts of savings certificates and a brooch. Maj. Eastwood had decided to put his monetary gift into national savings, so the presentation was made by Mr. G. R. Hardacre, chairman of the York Savings Committee. Mr. T. Dawson, publicity manager of Leyland Motors Ltd., has been appointed group publicity manager (CV) with Mr. J. A. Dennis, publicity manager of AEC Ltd. since 1962 as his deputy. Mr. Dawson joined Leyland in 1925.
Mr. J. W. Sutton, director of manufacture and service with Martin Walter Ltd., has been appointed executive assistant to the managing director of the Martin Walter Group. Mr. Sutton, who is 49, joined the company in 1962 as general manager of production and was appointed to the board on January 1,1964.
Mr. Albert S. Carmany has been appointed comptroller of the Brentford plant of The Firestone Tire and Rubber Co.
Mr. A. B. West has been appointed press officer to the public relations committee of the British Omnibus Companies, succeeding Mr. K. G. Pope, who has joined London Transport Board as chief Press officer. Mr. West was previously director of public relations with Pergamon Press Ltd.
