On Monday, at the Mansion House, York, Aid. Dawson, publicity manager of Leyland Motors Ltd., has been appointed group publicity manager (CV) with Mr. J. A. Dennis, publicity manager of AEC Ltd. since 1962 as his deputy. Mr. Dawson joined Leyland in 1925.

Mr. J. W. Sutton, director of manufacture and service with Martin Walter Ltd., has been appointed executive assistant to the managing director of the Martin Walter Group. Mr. Sutton, who is 49, joined the company in 1962 as general manager of production and was appointed to the board on January 1,1964.

Mr. Albert S. Carmany has been appointed comptroller of the Brentford plant of The Firestone Tire and Rubber Co.
