Imperial Commercials has appointed Michael Heeney to the board with responsibility for its parts department. Kevin Swallow reports.

Imperial Commercials continues to grow and has created a new position on the board to help cater for its increasing parts division.

Michael Heeney has moved from Oaf Trucks, where he was UK parts sales manager. to join Imperial Commercials as group parts sales director. Imperial Commercials, which sells more than 3,800 new trucks and vans a ye ar. holds £7m of parts stock.

"The task includes the achievement of the group's parts sales and profit objectives, but it goes much further than that," says Heeney."We want to develop new parts sales and stocking strategies to ensure the service we provide is the best in the business.

Great pride

If we can do that, then achieving our business objectives will be that much easier. I'm looking forward to working with my new colleagues,many of whom I know well from my time with Oaf."

Heeney managed Oaf Trucks parts sales for more than four years, following three years managing iN fleet parts sales operation. His previous experience included time with Volkswagen, Audi, Partco and Ferraris Piston Services. II
