Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

In the case of leased or contract-hire vehicles, any damage is assessed at the end of the leasing or rental period and a suitable charge is levied to bring the vehicle back to a predetermined condition.

To this end the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association, with input from Manheim Auctions and the Freight Transport Association, has published Industry Fair Wear and Tear Guidelines.

This publication sets out what is and what isn't acceptable as lair wear and tear' on vehicles, following a period of rental, lease or contract hire.
