Director Les Morson says his company is purchasing long-wheelbase Sherpa 350s, Roadrunners, Roadtra in 1727s with Rolls Royce engines and Mercedes 1617 rigids and 1628 tractor units. The new vehicles will all be purchased through another Wincanton company, Arlington Motor Group. All 98 vehicles will operate on a three-year cycle, before being sold through the trade and through Wincanton Motor Auctions.
The vehicles will be based at Wincanton Vehicle Rentals branches and are all due to enter service on April 1.
