Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AWARDS totalling £50,000 will be made to successful competitors in the third competition to be held by the James F. Lincoln Arc Welding Foundation. In previous competitions held in 1938 and 1941, a large percentage of the awards came to British contestants. Notably, the second prize of £2,500 in the 1938 competition was won by a British engineer.

There are 44 different divisions under which papers may be submitted, including two for self-propelled vehicles, accessories and components. Entry is open to everyone and papers are required to describe the design and fabrication of a welded product that has not previously been manufactured by welding. Further information can be obtained from Mr. J. W. Slack, Welding Development Department, Lincoln Electric Co., Ltd., Welwyn Garden City, Herts.
