Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Early this year I was E unfortunate enough to nage some cars on the deck of my transporter lie negotiating the Dart1 Tunnel.

Iy height at the time 4.9m (16ft 2in). I lerstood the height restion was 5m (16ft 6in). as travelling south but that day they routed us Dugh the northbound nel. Do I have a claim I how do I address it? r, Colchester

Firstly, the "Tolls and Charges" Schedule effecfrom the 1st September 9 states that the height t northbound Kent to Essex .8m (16ft) and southbound ex to Kent is 5m (16ft 6in). being routed down the chbound tunnel you have your clearance. Was the 'outing adequately signed? 'he other problem is that Tunnel Bylaws Part Vi ich are soon to be susded) state that no vehicle in ess of 4.8m (16ft) may use either tunnel without the consent of the general manager. In any event I would think you have a claim. Address it to "The general manager, Dartford Tunnel Authority, South Orbital Way, Dartford, Kent DA1 5PR."
