Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Daihatsu has expanded its range of Fourtrak 4x4 commercial vehicles with a pair of turbo-diesels.

The new variants are long and short-wheelbase models with estate-style bodywork, which join the naturallyaspirated diesel shortwheelbase soft top and hard top, and the long-wheelbase pickup variant.

The engine is the 2,765cc turbo-diesel producing 671(W (90hp) at 3,400rpm and 224Nm (165Ibft) at 2,200rpm. This is already available in saloon versions of the Fourtrak, but not the commercial derivatives.

Like all Fourtraks, the turbo-diesels offer part-time four-wheel drive and have a five-speed gearbox incorporating a two-speed transfer box: springing is by semi-elliptic leaf springs. With a GVW of 2,085kg, both new models have a payload allowance over 500kg and a hefty 3,500kg towing capacity allowance.

Prices for the newcomers are £9,970 for the SWB version and £11,199 for the LINT (both ex-VAT).
