Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

111E EEC COMMISSION is trying to reach a formal agreement with vehicle manufacturers to prevent them from using any advertising which might have adverse effects on road safety.

Speaking in Strasbourg this week at the European Truck Maintenance Conference, Fotis Karamitsos, of the Commission's directorate-general for transport, described this as a "very important initiative to which we give great priority and for which the collaboration of industry is an absolute must".

On coach safety Karamitsos expects "some progress" to be made next year which has been designated Road Safety Year by the EEC. The results of the Motor Industry Research Association's research for the EEC into coach structural strength is expected to be published in early spring.
