Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IN •n-iis morning's paper I again read that the price of Dery is being raised by more than 7p per gallon and that this is the sixth increase and ninth decrease of 1985.

I say enough is enough. I low are firms that are forced to give firm prices for 12 months in advance to customers supposed to submit these prices with some confidence when these wild dery price fluctuations throw all reasonable costings out of the window. I do not believe the oil companies when they trot out the same lame excuses of "market movements"; the world is awash with processed hydrocarbon fuels. whatever the oil companies say, They are using hauliers with our absolute reliance on dery as iii easy profit centre when sales of other petroleum products lag.

It is about time that we organised boycotts of firms like Esso and BP, who I have noticed are in the forefront of any price increases, and perhaps started buying from cornpanies who can guarantee us some stability in our hulk buying prices.

Before writing this letter I rang one Or two of our major customers and asked if I could increase my prices in line with dery increases. I will give you one guess as to their reply.
