SCHENK, the UK subsidiary of Carl Schenk of Darmstadt, West Germany, has purchased the factory testing systems activities of Autosense Systems and formed a separate project division based at the existing Bicester, Oxfordshire premises.

The main element of Autosense was originally set up at Bicester in 1975 as a self-contained unit belonging to Hamilton Test Systems, part of the United Technologies Corporation of America.

It has designed and installed large scale automated engine test facilities for Leyland, Iveco, Land Rover, Perkins. and Shell.
