Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ECONOCRUISE has extended its truck road speed limiter range, with a new unit based on its Electric Motor Actuator (EMA) light vehicle limiter (CM, September I, 1984).

The EMA limiter incorporates a sensor, fitted either to the vehicle's propshaft or tachograph cable. This is connected to an electric motor actuator, linked by a cable to a collapsible link mounted on the throttle valve mechanism.

When the vehicle's top speed, determined by the operator beforehand, is reached, the collapsible link prevents any further throttle movement thereby governing top speed.

Price for the EMA truck limiter is 020 plus fitting, which is considerably cheaper than the Econocruise air actuacted unit at £600 plus fitting.
