Horace Christian
HORACE CRAVEN
CHRISTIAN, a trustee of the Boston haulage and warehousing firm W. H. Christian Exors, has died at the age of 73. Horace Craven entered the firm, which had been started by his brother Walter in 1933, on his brother's death. The business continues under the management of Robert Christian, Horace Christian's son.
Mitchell Cotts director
TI IL MARKETING manager of Mitchell Cotts Motor Vehicles, the main distributors of Mercedes-Benz trucks and passenger cars in the Midlands, has been appointed a director of the company.
In addition to being appointed a director, Richard Gregory has been made director of operations of the company's new il.6M Mercedes-Benz car and truck facility at Whitley, Coventry_
Gregory has been with the company for 12 years, starting with Prestage as fleet sales manager.
Wincanton truck rental management restructure
THE MAN who until recently was southern regional manager with Wincanton Vehicle Rentals, Les Morson, has been appointed truck rental director. He takes overall responsibility for the Wincanton Group subsidiary's activities.
Morson's appointment is part of a management restructure from a regional to an operational pattern. Other personnel affected are Mark De'Ath, who becomes refrigeration services director (he was previously northern regional manager) and David Kempster, late of BRS and Dawson, who is appointed sales and marketing director. Kempster will be responsible for all of the contract hire selling activities of Wincanton Vehicle Rentals.
