THE MANAGEMENT team at Norwich-based Freight Bonallack has been announced following acquisition of the business from British Alcan Aluminium.
Tom Chavasse will stay on as director for a substantial length of time under secondment from British Alcan, but is succeeded as managing director by Mike Mackenzie, who is also managing director of Highshares' other engineering businesses, including Giltsave and recently acquired PEM of Poole. Highshares chairman Tim Franey becomes chairman of Freight Bonallack, and Sir Richard Bonallack stays as a director.
The company will trade as Freight Bonallack, the name by which it was known in the 1970s before it was taken over by British Alcan. In recent years the bodybuilding company has been known as Alcan Transport Products.
