Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

FACTORY managers in North and East London and South Hertfordshire have greeted with enthusiasm the introduction of a container service for the clearance of rubbish from their premises.

For many years Hales Clinkers, Ltd., Old River Works, White Bart Lane, London, N.17, have been removing waste from factories in this area. Now, instead of waste dumps and bins that have to be filled individually, and loaded and emptied by hand, rubbish is accumulated in sheet metal containers, each of 10 Cu. yd. capacity which are located at convenient points inside or outside each factory.

At suitable intervals the containers are collected, hauled away and tipped on one of the sites available to Hales Clinkers. Ltd. (disused quarries and gravel pits), the collecting vehicle having brought an empty container to replace the full one.

The vehicles used to provide this ser-vice to industry are Bedford TK if .tonners with two-speed rear axles. Each is equipped with a Dempster Dumpster hoisting unit. They are operated by. the

driver only, without the need for any assistance from the customer's plant or labour. When picking up, the driver attaches chain slings to the container by hand—otherwise he controls all lifting and lowering operations from his cab.
