Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ABATTERY charger designed to be mounted permanently on a vehicle and wired into the electrical system has been introduced by Sterling instrument Co. Ltd., Sterling Works, Crewkerne, Somerset. It is known as the Bambi Charger and working from a standard 200/250 V ac. domestic supply, it charges at 1.25 amps. on either 6 V or 12 V.

Components of the charger—a heavy duty transformer and a Westinghouse Selenium rectifier—are contained in a P.V.C.-coated steel case measuring 5 in. by 2 in. by 2 in. Retail price of the Barnbi, complete with fixing screws, fused connecting leads and 9 ft. of three-core cable with plug, is £3 5s.

Also introduced by the same concern is the Sterling boot or bonnet light. Although primarily intended for cars, this light will have limited commercial vehicle applications and will provide automatic illumination of the engine compartment when the bonnet is opened. Retail price is 12s. 6d. complete and 6 V or 12 V versions are available.
