Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE recommended servicing intervals on all current, and some

non-current, production commercial vehicle chassis manufacaired by the British Motor Corporation have been increased from 1.000 to 3,000 miles. This considerable extension of servicing intervals applies not only to Austin and Morris light commercial models hut also to all medium and heavy goods models and embraces vehicles from 5-cwt. to 7-ton capacity and prime movers between 12 and 18 tons gross train weight.

The familiar voucher books issued with each new commercial vehicle are now being replaced by a new service booklet which covers servicing for 24,000 miles (instead of the previous 12,000 miles applicable to light goods vehicles). The 500-mile free service continues in revised form—it will be known as the After Sales Service and should now be carried out when a van or truck has covered hetvveen 500 and 1,000 miles from new. Some non-current models will also benefit and new voucher books for these are being made available.
