the r-k Government on transport matters in the House of Lords, the Earl of Gosford has been elected chairman of the British Road Federation. Lord Gosford, who is 51, succeeds Lord Derwent who resigned, after eight years as chairman, on his appointment in September as Minister of State to the Board of Trade.
Lord Gosford is at present foreign affairs advisor to Richard Thomas and Baldwins Ltd.
