A forecast of this was given last week by Mr. George Darling (Labour, Hillsborough), when a Commons standing committee was discussing the Weights and Measures Bill.

Mr. David Price, Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade said the Board of Trade intended to lay down regulations, and had particularly in mind the situation raised by Mr. Darling, namely a road tanker for petrol having a flow meter, together with air separators, valves, pipes and so On, fitted.
